Manages a group of analysts that are responsible for supporting data bases or performing complex analysis and modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Their team would provide data or analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of data for regulatory needs or performance reports for Senior mgt. Manages the review and regulatory submission requirements or analysis of trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. Directs the development of more complex databases or program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Oversees the analysis of data delivery, portfolio trends, concerning credit score cutoffs, loss trends, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Integrates the analysis team with other corporate units to insure alignment of analysis with business data, strategies and objectives. Responsible for hiring and training Risk Analysis Senior Specialist. Master's degree or large data experience preferred; Programming experience like SQL, SAS preferred; 7+ years experience.



Bank of America's Economic Scenario Development Team is seeking a Sr. Risk Manager. The Economic Scenario Development Team is responsible for econometric modeling and scenario generation to support CCAR, stress testing, and other enterprise risk management activities. The current model coverage includes U.S. national macro-economic models, U.S. regional macro-economic models, International models, FX models, interest rates and other financial market variable models.



As part of the Economic Scenario Development Team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the economic scenario development process through leadership and coordination of compliance and governance-related efforts involving model risk management requirements, ongoing model performance monitoring, review and challenge of scenario outcomes, documentation, etc. The candidate will also be called upon to provide project or work flow management as needed. Our work is fast-paced and intellectually challenging; we interact daily with quantitative modelers and senior bank management to improve our models and adapt to changing business needs. Previous econometric modeling experience is desirable but not required for this position, but excellent communication and aptitude for learning is.



Qualifications



Required Skills:



MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent;



5+ years Sr. risk management or finance experience in a major financial institution or equivalent;



Knowledge of economics, financial markets, CCAR and stress testing;



Demonstrated analytical ability with good financial and business acumen;



Experience with understanding the impact of major macroeconomic risks to financial institutions;



Willingness to learn stress testing models and assess reasonableness of model outcomes;



Strong attention to detail; ability to critically review and challenge;



Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills;



Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively collaborate with business and risk partners



Desired Skills:



Project management, governance and/or process improvement experience;



Familiarity with time series or statistical modeling;



Ability to work in a time sensitive, market driven environment
