Our dry pet food factory in Zanesville is favorably located along the banks of the Muskingum River in scenic east-central Ohio halfway between Columbus and Wheeling, West Virginia. Originally under the ownership of BENCO Pet Foods, this 100-year-old facility was acquired by Purina in 1987 and has since evolved as weve innovated and renovated our portfolio of products, processes and technical equipment. Zanesville is the only Nestl Purina location that produces every case of Moist & Meaty and every case of Alpo Meal Helper product for all of the United States and Canada. We produce 21,800 tons annually all produced, packaged and shipped with the utmost quality and nutrition.

Your role in the bigger picture is to manage the preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. Youll handle projects that span the spectrum of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatics, and welding responsibilities. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will also be responsible for instrumentation, calibration, and the troubleshooting of PLC controlled systems.

Job Description:

Maintenance Mechanics at Zanesville play a vital role in plant operations. They are responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which includes processing, packing, warehouse and facility operations. They will be responsible for learning, troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. They will also be responsible for instrumentation, calibration, and the troubleshooting of PLC controlled systems. The successful individual will excel in a safety-oriented operation in which an emphasis is placed on machine reliability and process improvement.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

Experience: (Years/Type):
A 2 year technical degree or at least 1 year working in preventative and routine machine maintenance in a manufacturing, technical, or military environment
