Job Description:

POSITION REPORTS TO: Vice President - Credit Services & Support

Responsible for providing service and support for AgDirect loans and retail installment contracts. Also provide support for servicing actions on AgDirect loans and retail installment contracts. Serve internal and external customers by processing loan packages, servicing requests and completing loan maintenance duties. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and team members by providing consistent high quality service that is timely, thorough, and responsive to customers and exceeds their expectations. Work in a team environment to accomplish goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

1. Customer Service: Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers and their business partner(s) (i.e. attorneys, accountants, bank officers, etc.) by providing a consistent high level of quality service that is timely, thorough, and responsive to the needs of the customer. This includes telephone communication, written correspondence, and electronic communication. The individual will perform such duties as providing customer payoffs, payment lookup, accrued interest, customer information change requests, and other customer initiated requests. The position takes ownership of the problem until resolved to the customer's satisfaction, which may include involving other functional and cross functional team members. The individual is responsible for assisting in the identification of future customer needs.

2. Contract/Loan Servicing: Complete loan servicing documentation and retail installment contract amendments in order to meet the needs of the customer while complying with loan administration guidelines. Incumbent will complete interest rate conversion requests and servicing actions including payment extensions, term modifications, contract amendments, partial releases, and full release of UCCs and mortgages on paid off accounts.

3. Work directly with customer to obtain information in order to recommend, negotiate and implement servicing actions as appropriate. Work closely with AgDirect Resolution Officers and the AgDirect Credit team to compile the appropriate balance sheet, income statements and/or tax returns so that the appropriate decisions can be made on high risk loan servicing actions. Ensure the appropriate entity documents are collected, when required.

4. Work closely with Farm Credit Leasing when customer requests servicing on existing leases.

5. Maintenance: Perform account maintenance duties related to serviced portfolios, including, but not limited to:
• Review of daily reports for necessary follow-up.
• Process UCC terminations and continuations.
• Process payments and customer receipts.
• Process refunds due to overpayment on accounts.
• Complete correspondence related to customer initiated requests, such as copies of contracts, address changes, account summary and transaction history information.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Job Grade 17 Requirements:
Two to four year college degree preferred and/or a combination of related experience or specialized training. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years related experience.

Additional functions of the position may include:
1. Coordinate cross-training and mentoring new employees.
2. Participate on work groups and cross-functional teams.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties require:
• A general working knowledge of the Associations’ processes
• Basic understanding and working knowledge of credit extension and administration processes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
• Basic knowledge of financial principles and their application to credit delivery
• Ability to appropriately handle highly confidential materials
• Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good human relations, oral and written skills
• Ability to initiate, organize and prioritize work
• Demonstrated teambuilding attitude and skills
• Knowledge of the Associations’ credit policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines beneficial, but not required
• Ability to use financial software applications
• Proficient in Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer
• Limited overnight travel up to 10% and irregular hours required as needed

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Extensive contact with the Associations’ employees including Account Resolution, Retail Lending, Retail Credit Underwriting, ABF, Legal, Finance, and Appraisal Team members; the Associations’ customers; attorneys, and title insurance companies.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate and critique such information as written materials, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work related activities.
• Ability to complete work in an acceptable time frame and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
• Ability to operate telephone and respond to calls and in-person inquiries.
• Ability to move about the office with occasional reaching and bending.
• Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation up to 10% to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
• Ability to use computer. This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.
• Proficient in Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer and ability to use and understand various computer software related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the position
• Ability to understand and explain various subject matter and consult on concepts, programs, terminology and methods.
• Ability to use a keyboard/calculator/computer. This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
